The Glenn Sisters Legacy Grant for Educators
In honor of its Fiftieth Anniversary of Grantmaking, the board of directors of the Carrie E. and Lena V. Glenn Foundation made a $50,000 gift to the Gaston County Education Foundation to establish the Glenn Sisters Legacy Grant for Educators. This fund was created to provide financial assistance for educators in Gaston County public schools pursuing continued education opportunities to enhance their performance in the classroom. Since its inception in 2023, the fund has awarded eleven grants for a total of $10,700. Individual grants are awarded annually by the Gaston County Education Foundation through an application process. Details can be obtained at www.gastoncountyeducationfoundation.org. Our hope is that this fund will help educators enhance the learning environment in the Gaston County school system and continue the legacy of the Glenn Sisters.
